Press invitation: Palais de Justice opens to the general public

Press invitation - 29 March at 10.30 am - 1 Place Poelaert, 1000 Brussels

Tuesday 29 March 2022 will mark the official launch of guided tours for the general public at Palais de Justice, the Law Courts of Brussels. Brusselers and visitors will soon be able to discover one of the capital’s most famous and mysterious buildings.

The grand opening takes place in the presence of Mr Mathieu Michel, Federal State Secretary for the Federal Buildings Authority, Mr Rudi Vervoort, Minister-President of the Brussels-Capital Region and Mr Pascal Smet, State Secretary for Urbanism and Heritage of the Brussels-Capital Region.

Visiting the Brussels Law Courts was previously only possible for a limited number of groups of 20 people who signed up together. The past two years, these visits were suspended due to the pandemic. From April 2022, the general public will be able to discover the history and exceptional rooms of the Law Courts, accompanied by guide associations Arkadia and Korei.

Date and location: 29 March 2022 at 10.30 am in the Ceremonial Courtroom of the Court of Cassation.
